“Die Wolken Werdern Stufenleitern Absinken” by Valium Aggelein. Obscure slowcore LP from my second favorite band ever. The alter-ego of Duster, the most influential band to touch my life, Valium Aggelein slowed things down one night in their studio and recorded one of the hidden gems of the slowcore / space rock movement. The perfect album for space flights or driving around large cities at 3am on starry nights.
The album was released in 1998 on Audio Information Phenomena (Marc Bianchi of Her Space Holiday) on white vinyl. It’s unknown how many copies were released into the wild (I’ll guesstimate 500). I’m happy and safe knowing I have a case of these sitting on my record shelf which will never leave my possession.
